We Remember

The members of Post 3935 and its Auxiliary are committed to preserving and honoring the memory of those who gave their lives and fortunes in defense of our Republic and it's ideals.

Memorial Day

On Memorial Day Post 3935 honors our fallen by placing flags at the graves of over 600 local veterans who lie at rest at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard, CA. Veterans at rest there fought our nation's wars from the Spanish American War through modern conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Pool Tournament

Post 3935 hosts pool teams in the APA League including two competitive teams of our own. If competition is not your thing, join us any day of the week for a casual game. It's always free and it's always fun.

Buddy Poppies

The Buddy Poppy was immortalized by Major John McCrae's poem "In Flanders Fields" written during World War I. It entered VFW symbolism in 1921 and represents the blood sacrifice made by veterans throughout our history.

Veteran Outreach

Coming home doesn't mean the battle is over. With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!! If you or someone you know is suffering from PTSD, we have people that have shared a similar experience and are ready to help.

As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

Notification of Nominations and Election of Post Officers:  Nominations for 2022 - 2023 will commence at our March 9th Post General Meeting. Elections will take place on our April 13th meeting. Maximum attendance is important for these meetings.

COVID-19 Update: The Ventura County Director of Public Health lifted the County's mask mandate for indoor spaces on February 16th. Vaccinated individuals are no longer required to wear masks in most indoor spaces. Unvaccinated individuals are requested to continue wearing masks.
